Prayers Heard In Heaven gives each family a sense of comfort in knowing we are there for them. We become their Angel of Hope, and this is why we are different.

Thank you for your generosity and support. Hope is Tomorrow's Promise:

"I promise you that every parent that has a critically ill child, whispers a prayer, and that prayer is Heard In Heaven. Your financial support is an answer to their prayer!"

Valerie Sneed,

 Executive Director

How you can help:

We recognize, in the wake of ever increasing expenses, after operating without seeking funding of any kind for over 6 years with a committed community of volunteers, we must seek monetary aid to continue with the same level of excellence.
Illness exempts no one. When a loved one comes face to face with a catastrophic illness, time is of the essence.

The most direct way you can help is through an enhanced gift to Prayers Heard In Heaven which will supplement expenses, helping to provide medical treatment and support for these patients and their families. Your gift will allow the needs of these families to be met during their most difficult times.

If you have any questions about Prayers Heard In Heaven, please contact Valerie Sneed, Executive Director, at 832-397-7493.

Karla’s Wish

Karla is a 17 year old lung patient. One of her lungs is collapsed and the other is functioning at only 15% capacity.  She uses a breathing apparatus called “The Vest” which clears airway passages. Without this machine, Karla would no longer be with us.  Karla will need a lung transplant in order to survive. Prayers Heard In Heaven is a non-profit organization which helps people with catastrophic illnesses and little or no medical insurance get the help they need; people like Karla.

The following is video excerpts from Karla’s wish to the “Make a Wish Foundation” – A Shopping Spree at Katy Mills Mall, escorted to the mall in a White Stretch Limo.

Karla’s real wish is to get better and realize her dream of going to college and starting a family.

You can help make this real dream come true by your contributions.

In Touch Video Productions contributed it’s time to edit this video in the hope that you would find it in your heart to help.  Thank you for your time and support.

PHIH believes that:

  • Faith can move mountains.

  • Everyone should have someone to stand beside them throughout a catastrophic illness.

  • We stand with the patient, their medical professionals and you, our community, believing together that we can beat the odds.

Prayer One: Karla
KARLA

PRAYER #1

Karla is a seventeen year old who once attended High School. Classmates call her determined and a wonderfully brilliant person to be around.

That all changed when Karla learned that one of her lungs had failed, and the other was also very weak. Placed on a oxygen tank, Karla left High School and is currently being home school, since she cannot risk catching any sickness. She had until winter of 2006 to get a lung transplant.

Thanks for Prayers Heard in Heaven, Karla was able to get a medical machine for free. With this machine her respiratory system is better and is doing considerably well.

KLARISSE

PRAYER #2

One such child as Klarisse. She was a 6 month-old baby whose parents sought treatment of a rare form of cancer. As all loving parents would do, they sold all their belongings and personal possessions to meet the anticipated expenses of the surgery, but to their dismay, the funds fell short of the estimated cost of their child’s bone marrow transplant. The parents did not know what to do, but pray. A desperate plea to Prayers Heard In Heaven began a chain of events to save Klarisse’s life. Without our help, the child’s condition would have been fatal.

Prayers Heard In Heaven contacted a local TV station and actively began fundraising. The hospital opened an account for donations on Klarisse’s behalf. Through the support of Prayers Heard In Heaven and the community, Klarisse received all the help she needed. Today she is a happy, healthy year 6 old child.

NIKKI

PRAYER #3

Nikki, after struggling with grief and depression, in the loss of her young  son, following a lengthy battle with cancer, finds assistance and hope through hours of counseling provided by Doctor Steven De Almedia, pychologist  with Prayers Heard In Heaven.

Doctor De Almedia also worked with Nikki’s three daughters in grief counseling and equipping them in coping skills after much upheaval in their lives.
